Volunteers will be exposed to hands-on first aid treatment and casualty interaction

University of Alberta First Aid Responders volunteers will attend University of Alberta campus events as first aid responders. There are many benefits to UAFAR volunteers, including practice and maintenance of first aid skills, development of communication and teamwork skills, and involvement in a dynamic new initiative at the University of Alberta. In the role of first aid responders, volunteers will be exposed to hands-on first aid treatment and casualty interaction, and will work in teams to coordinate a response to any situations requiring first aid. Additionally, volunteers will have the opportunity to continually develop and maintain their first aid skills through regular skill-training sessions, which will offer skill review and practice, and have access to a certified first aid instructor to answer first aid questions.
